Meetings

We currently plan to meet in the new, downtown, Mirrorton Apartments Clubhouse launching sometime in December 2021.

Calendar invites will be sent out via mailing list.

Meetings are typically 7-8PM EST.

Fair warning: members may elect to announce an after party once the meeting has concluded.

What does a meeting look like?

Our meetings are no longer than one hour.

Here's the typical meeting agenda:

  • Arrive and Network: 10 Minutes

  • Updates from Previous Donations: 10 Minutes

  • New Donation Vote

    • Nominate Nonprofits (Place Names in a Hat)

    • Draw 3 Finalists

    • Member Advocates get 5 minutes each to pitch: 15 Minutes

    • Open Q&A: 10 Minutes

    • Majority Vote Winner

  • Collect Funds and Write Checks: 10 Minutes

  • Announce Next Meeting Date & Place

  • Adjourn*

  • Checks and Funds will be paid within 48 hours to the nonprofit.

    • *Any after party is optional and TBD on the spot unless arranged prior by a member.

What should I bring?

Simple Checklist:

  • Bring a blank paper check made out for $100; recipient will be determined and checks signed that evening.

  • Bring a friend!
